It will take you just a few minutes to reach the lovely Medieval hamlet of Scopello from Villa Delfino. This ancient village is famous for its "Tonnara", once used for the storage of fresh tuna, and now turned into an interesting seafaring museum, as well as for its typical "baglio", a wide Arab courtyard where we recommend you taste typical delicacies (from "pani cunzato" bread to granita) under the shade of trees and little ancient houses. But most of all, Scopello is best known for its idyllic scenery: a crystal-blue, transparent sea with huge rocks (the so-called "faraglioni") right in the middle of the little bay. A pleasant little corner of Sicily with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, right within the beautiful Zingaro Nature Reserve with its stunning overlooks on the Western shore.

The nearby Castellammare del Golfo, an ancient port, is nowadays a famous touristic destination, with its narrow little streets and beautiful beaches; do not forget to plan a visit to the archaeological site of Segesta, with great evidences of the Greek domination of the area, as well as a trip to Erice, the little picturesque hamlet on top of San Giuliano mountain, where we highly recommend a tour of the Castle and a taste of typical "Genovesi alla crema" pastry. The colorful and lively capital, Palermo, is just a hour and a half ago: get ready to discover the secrets and the history of this beautiful and multi-cultural city.

Dear Sandra and Alfredo, We had a wonderful time at the Villa Delfino, the location and villa were perfect, particularly as it was so new. The position on the mountain side gave fantastic views in a peaceful location with the sea, shops and restaurants all nearby. We hope that the vegetation around the villa will grow over the coming months. We so enjoyed our stay that we are considering coming again next year!
