Mount Etna (enlisted among the UNESCO World Heritage sites in 2013) and its wonderful Natural Park are the protagonists of this lovely area of Sicily.

Enclosed between two seas – the Tyrrhenian in the north and the Ionian in the east.

The volcano is the fascinating background of every scenery so you can see it towering right behind the “black city” of Catania.
With its refined, UNESCO-protected historical centre, as well as from the tiny picturesque towns of the Etna Park.

Fans of nature will find plenty and enjpy of stunning places here.
The Park is rich in verdant landscapes, hills and mountains with little rivers passing through and originating enchanting settings.
Such as the Alcantara river, whose “gorges” (Gole dell’Alcantara) are one of the most famous naturalistic sites of the island.

The Ionian Sea can also be seen from the top of Mount Etna – we definitely recommend an excursion to the top of the volcano in winter.

Prosperous and particularly fertile is the soil of Mount Etna: the area is well-known for the deliciousness and peculiar taste of its typical products.

The third most important religious celebration in the world, to the world-famous pottery produced in Caltagirone.

And the atmosphere, as always in Sicily, is that of a human-size land, where there are no strangers – just guests.
