Scopello
One of the most beautiful and quaint seaside resorts in Sicily.

The Tonnara, also the former tuna port, was formerly a small village with a small chapel, the rose-colored villa and accommodation for the fishermen.

Beautiful pebble beaches outside the Zingaro are on the way between Castellammare and Scopello (Guidaloca).

Outside of Castellammare there is a large sandy beach.
For historically and culturally interested people, many day trips with a short journey are an option, since the connection to the motorway is well organized.
Scopello – The Zingaro nature reserve
The Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro is characterized by spectacular views.
From the path along the rugged coast and hidden sandy and pebble bays of almost paradisiac beauty.
Firstly the nature reserve was established in 1980 after fierce protests by the population and numerous environmental organizations against the construction of a road as the first nature reserve in Sicily.
In particular April and May rare species of orchids bloom here, especially among more than 700 different plant species is the dwarf palm.
The underwater world is worth seeing.
Inflatable boat trips to the inaccessible grottos and coves are offered by the diving school Cetaria.
Various museums also inform about the flora and fauna of the park.
